I called up Customer Care because I wanted to get my Sanyo phone number and area code changed. I wrote down everything they had me do, including my "Security Code" number. Unfortunately, I gave my security code number to a friend with a Sanyo phone and it didn't work for him. All it does is power off and on the phone, resetting it. Mine works, and continues to work with the number I wrote down. So apparently, this particular code may be different on each and every Sanyo phone.
On my phone, after going to the place where you are prompted for the security code (Menu-4-0) I type in 468788 to get in.
It looks like you can do a lot of scarey stuff in there. I'm not touching a thing in there because I know it would screw up my phone.
Also, I came straight out and asked them for the "Field Service Code" number. The strange thing was that he said that I could screw up my phone if he told it to me, and that he wouldn't tell me the number even if he knew it. Seems to me that with the Security Code Number, you are far more likely to screw up your phone than with the field service code. I didn't argue with him, figuring he said that so that he has some excuse not to give it to me.
For those of you that are interested, here's what I can see in the Service Code area of my Sanyo phone. I'm X'ing out my phone number and a few other things. After viewing an entry, pressing [OK] on my phone shows me the next item:

If this code gets you in, be careful as you'll probably make your phone unusable if you change anything, requiring a vist to your local Sprint store to fix it. I accept no responsiblity for any damage you do to your phone do to the information I've posted here. I am simply stating this information here for those that are curious what is going on behind the scenes of our Sanyo phone.

I recently had my wireless web aka vision quit working. 37 calls back
and forth and 9 days later still no resolution. I did finnally manage
to get it working WITHOUT sprint however. I was getting error 106,
error 131, error 1012 and error 67. I put in ##786 and went to reset
defaults and afterwards had to pt my phone number back in using
##276233 service programming menu. But after I put the phone numbebove
codes r back the phone reaquired the vision service password and
worked fine. Here are all the codes I know from screwing with all
those wonder sprint Technical support 3rd grade dropouts. But actually
there were a few that knew a little, maybe 4 out of 37.
##786 tells you how much data you have used, calls and such info as
well as the phone reset.
##276233 is the service programming menu where you basically ACTIVATE
the phone
##040793 is a debug screen with some strange stuff almost all seless
to me.
##3282 aka ##data and then the code is 276233
the above codes work on my phone. You do have to enter the code like
##786 then push ok button, go to save then ok button again.
Hope ths helps keep some of you out of sprint pcs technical support

Just to make sure, this (276233) is your MSL code, which is different for each(?) equipment. Mine is something else.

I also have a problem with PCS Vision, and have already spent many hours with sprint guys, who almost always want me to do the "##data, save, MSL code, erase username and password, and wait" thing. Never worked, but each time I call, I have to do that :(
